For Christmas I was given an old biography of Edie Segwick, and haven’t been able to put it down since. I’m a major fan- borderline obsessed even- so I’ve pretty much seen and read all there is about Edie. It’s safe to say I was surprised and extremely excited to find something new. Reading it has re-sparked my immense interest in Edie, so it was natural for me to reference her in my blog title. I’ve always felt some sort of connection with Poor Little Rich Girl (the title of a movie Edie did for Warhol). Having a deep sadness hidden behind an exterior of money and affluence is something that just translates well in my brain. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve got love for fashion, makeup, and design (which will all be included here), but there’s gotta be some sort of substance behind it.
